Dr. Kwon was born in South Korea and moved to Michigan in 1996. He received his undergraduate degree from Michigan State University and his Doctorate in Dental surgery from the University of Detroit Mercy. He then completed a general practice residency at the University of Toledo Medical Center. He practiced general dentistry for 6 years. Dr. Kwon went on to receive his Master of Science degree and certificate in orthodontics at the University of Michigan. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics as well as an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists and American Dental Association. When Dr Kwon is not providing clinical care, he is teaching at the University of Michigan as an adjunct clinical professor and is the Orthodontic Program Director at Motts Children's Health Center. He enjoys teaching and had tutored for many AP classes, SAT and ACT for over 10 years until 2010. He also had an opportunity to teach at Eastern Michigan University for Human Anatomy and Physiology which he enjoyed greatly. Dr. Kwon enjoys the biomechanical aspect of orthodontics, where he needs to figure out the tooth movements inside the jaws in the most efficient way while making sure our patients feel comfortable during treatment. Dr. Kwon appreciates the opportunity to serve and be part of his community. He lives locally in Saline with his wife, Sarah, and their three beautiful daughters Elyse, Sabela and Nichole.

As your orthodontist, I believe that my mission is not only to help you find a better smile, but also to listen, learn, and grow with you in life.” Dr. Jonathan Dzingle earned his Bachelor’s degree and Doctorates in Dental Surgery from the University of Michigan. During his tenure at Michigan, Dr. Dzingle participated in head and neck cancer research looking at cytokine factors present during angiogenesis. Dr. Dzingle also designed and implemented a digital survey instrument to track and assess oral health disparities present in rural Kenya. Dr. Dzingle graduated in the top 10% of his dental class and was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon (OKU) honors society. Following graduation, Dr. Dzingle completed a Masters in Dental Science and Certificate in Orthodontics at the University of Connecticut Health Center. Dr. Dzingle is an active member of organized dentistry at the national, state, and local level. He is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists and the American Dental Association. Dr. Dzingle is a voracious learner and participates actively in many continuing education courses related to treatment delivery and efficiency. Dr. Dzingle’s clinical interests include management of impacted and congenitally missing teeth. He is also passionate about smile esthetics and management of complex orthodontic cases in the mixed dentition. Outside of work, Dr. Dzingle is married to his wife, Jillian, and they have a newborn daughter, Sadie. Dr. Dzingle’s growing family keeps him very busy, but he still tries to make time for his passions of running, biking, and being outside! Dr. Dzingle is very proud to say that he recently completed his first half iron man and would like to train for a full iron man in the near future!
